My Top 10 e-Learning Tools

eLearning Cyclops

Adobe Flash - An essential tool for creating highly interactive elements, including animation, games, immersive learning simulations, and almost anything else you want if you can manage writing or finding the actionscript. Adobe Captivate - Fantastic for creating simulations (software sims and branching sims), plus it does a good job recording audio for your sims. Being able to add quizzes and publish SCORM/AICC compliant courses is a big plus too.

E-learning Tools: A Developer’s Review of Adobe Captivate 7

Animations are treated similarly — while the support for basic animation does exist, developers will not be able to create complex animations (for example, syncing illustrated avatars to audio). Captivate 7 is a rapid development tool, so it’s never going to compare to something like ActionScript® when it comes to custom programming. We give Captivate 7 a big thumbs-up on its video and audio support. Audio tools within Captivate 7 are great convenience tools.
