So, here are my top 10 e-learning tools. They are not stand alone e-learning tools, but together allow me the ability to create effective e-learning courses. I'm going to include IE7 under this heading, which is probably the tool I use the most after Outlook – the improvements such as tabbed browsing mean that it has caught up with Firefox (sounds like some form of heresy). I've had wonderfully obsessive experiences with BASIC, Pascal, JavaScript and more recently, Flash ActionScript. Captivate: This is the other tool I use, for software screen captures.

Whatever happened to inductive learning?

The trouble is, inductive learning doesn't seem to have been what the developers had in mind when they designed the latest generation of rapid e-learning authoring tools. Over the past few days, I've been testing out a number of tools trying to implement a short section from the script for the 30-minute masters. OK, simple text and graphics or audio and graphics.
