A SCORM-certified course has passed and was certified by ADL, the organization behind the SCORM standard. The downside of the 2004 version is that fewer LMS vendors support it due to its complexity. There are other elearning standards like xAPI (Tin Can), cmi5, and AICC for more advanced capabilities. SCORM Certified.

Rather than go into a whole diatribe about CMI-5, I recommend you read this info on CMI-5 (put together in part from vendor RISC). For me, though, I will no longer.

Many vendors hyping PowerPoint to Flash angle as key feature. LMS, web, CD, etc., Who has time? Supports HD h.264

Answer: There’s four different Open Source LRSs that I’m aware of: Learning Locker , ADL LRS , lxHive and TinMan.
