On July 25, 2017, Adobe made the following announcement : Adobe is planning to end-of-life Flash. This announcement has a major impact on any organization which has e-learning courses published to run in Adobe Flash player. If it was Adobe Captivate or one of the other big-name authoring tools, you may be in luck.

They work perfectly when I use Captivate 2017 and Preview them with the Project option. I have published them in both swf and html. Does something need to be on the web server that I might be missing? Is there code that needs to be updated or fixed? Please help. Perplexed, Dona Conn. appeared first on eLearning.

One of my captivate project, which is published (HTML5) in an internal server, works fine with Microsoft edge browser,but when it comes to chrome it keeps loading and it wont play the project. Can be hosted on any Web Server or Flash Media Server (FMS). Hosting provided by Adobe partners. Now we come to enabling these in Captivate. As you know, Captivate has two different video features : Slide Video and FLV Object (details here ). Now the video is delivered from your alternate server.

Step 2: Import into Captivate. After I got all my images in order, I inserted each one onto its own slide in Adobe Captivate, ensuring the canvas size was exactly the same as the image dimensions (in this case, 1024 x 768). You should be able to do something similar on your own web server, intranet, LMS or VLE.

I am publishing to HTML5 and uploading to my LMS server. I have published as both an SWF and an HTML5 and have had no problems playing it as a flash file but of course that create the Youtube issue. In order to take advantage of the embedded youtube video feature.

In fact, lessons created by other Captivate developers in his company downloaded faster than his.   Captivate ships with a few Preloaders you can use when you publish your lesson. You can use any of the following formats as a Preloader: jpeg, gif, bmp, wmf, or swf.

I got a chance to closely analyze many of these specific issues and in all the cases it turned out to be server configuration problems. Some background Info: When you insert video into Captivate as Slide Video, it by default is configured to be progressive download. If this works then it is time you talk to your LMS vendor.

I am working with Captivate 2019 and publishing in HTML5 format. However, when I upload the published file to our server and try to access via browser, I just get a spinning icon. When I preview the output, everything looks great.
