Adobe Captivate and Articulate Studio have different skill sets and sometimes you need the best of both worlds. While Captivate is great for software simulations, I think Articulate is better for soft skills projects and tying the whole thing together.

I got a question (and you know I love questions): We are being asked to use Adobe Captivate on a project. We'll make the slides fun with graphic effects and movies, but that doesn't change the slide model. So, I thought that Articulate Presenter might be a better choice for this project. What do you think?

These tools didn’t get their start in 2007. Articulate Presenter was around well before eHelp (one of the leading companies) was purchased by Macromedia that was purchased by Adobe. In fact, eHelp licensed Articulate Presenter for their own RoboPresenter product. Today things are different.

I’ve recently been working on a couple of courses in Articulate, a rapid authoring tool in which you can build professional online instruction and interactions such as multi-response, in Engage, Presenter and Quizmaker. Articulate isn’t part of the ‘rapid authoring tool’ family for nothing.
