Shelly Blake-Plock announced last night via LinkedIn that he would be leading a Technical Advisory Group (TAG) for IEEE LTSC (Learning Technologies Standards Committee). As these efforts continue, likely so will standards implementations, so it’s a good idea to track the developments of the IEEE LTSC group. Authorization was removed from the standard, but it had only really been loosely defined in the original specification. standard and therefore are likely to support both the 1.x

In 2003, the eLearning startup I worked for shuttered its doors as our customers moved to adopt SCORM, and we had no idea how to do that. The nature of mobile devices became too complex too quickly to wrangle a solution that industry could adopt. was so popular and so adopted that people weren’t even bothering with SCORM 2004.
