Courses can be short (minutes or hours instead of weeks) and often self-directed (with learners setting their own pace) and asynchronous (not linked to a set schedule). In this guide to accessible elearning, I’ll talk about elearning in general, with more of a focus on a self-directed, asynchronous approach than on one that incorporates an active instructor. Digital content needs to be created in such a way that accommodates these assistive technologies.
