4 BIG business problems you can solve with adaptive learning

Axonify

Agility is a requirement. As companies grow and roles become more complex, how do we enable our people to be the differentiators we need without radically increasing our training budgets? But you can’t do that in an organization with 30,000 employees and only 30 people in the learning and development department. You’ve put every employee through training for everything they need to know. These employees then forget what they learned, as people are prone to do.

How Blending Lean, Agile, and Design Thinking Will Transform Your Team

General Assembly

The following is an adapted excerpt from Lean vs. Agile vs. Design Thinking by designer, team leader, and business coach Jeff Gothelf. During our conversation, my client said to me, “Our tech teams are learning Agile. The engineering teams, using Agile, were focused on shipping bug-free code in regular release cycles (many teams call these “sprints”). To reduce the risk of implementing sweeping process changes that fail, take small steps, a key component of Agile and Lean.

Agile Leaders: Born or Bred?

CLO Magazine

Leaders who can thrive in any business environment share one important trait: agility. As disparate as the two business environments are, there’s a common denominator — something a leader who can thrive anywhere would need to move forward in either scenario — learning agility. Dutra said that one of the greatest indicators of potential in leadership performance and success is learning agility, which comprises five key factors: Self-awareness. Mental agility.

ADDIE isn't dead; how can it be?

Integrated Learnings

And models such as ADDIE help us do so. Just about everything we do and every model we might use fits within one of the phases of ADDIE. Analysis enables us to identify the cause of a performance gap and formulate a plan for addressing it. Perhaps, out of necessity, we gather what information we have, make a best guess, and go for it a la the Agile development method , but we must still take that step. If you know a better one, please let me know.
