Well, not yet, but it is coming up and with that are all those wonderful vendors and that magical expo. But one of the biggest problems I see at such shows are the number of vendors who in hindsight I wished I avoided. I recall at ATD this past year, a vendor who was trying to sell people ahead of time their LMS. And, because many of the other vendors who are here at HR Tech, really are just average to poor (but not everyone). Cornerstone OnDemand.

How many of you have seen vendors respond to your questions? A: Virtually every LMS vendor out there in the marketplace provides these features. Congrats, you are probably looking at less than 10 (based on my LMS directory which contains 475 vendors). Custom domains – rather than have yourcompany.vendorname.com, some systems are now offering custom domains so that your learners see whatever name you create.com and remove the vendor name. SCORM/AICC/PENS/IMS.

These are being reported out of the larger eLearningGuild population and I would claim that they are likely more accurate than survey research that goes through the vendors themselves. LMS vendors tend to bury this information, which surprised me. So here are some of the LMSs I found in my search: IntraLearn LMS , Cornerstone OnDemand , Meridian Global LMS , and. So, here’s where I’m a newbie: When purchasing off-the-shelf content, do vendors typically provide you with separate SCORM/AICC files for each language? I’d love to hear from eLearning developers/integrators, as well as any vendors that may be listening.

The spin is that you can accrue points by reading an article, taking a course, leaving comments, ranking content, completing an assessment and so on – varies among vendors. Hence some vendors might pitch “gaming elements”, but there is no way – the point above – is what the rest of the world sees as gaming elements. For some reason a lot of vendors, erroreously assume that modules is widely used – it isn’t.

That said, there were some hiccups and from an entire vendor wise (expo here) angle, some unique and some, uh. This year, I estimated a 55/60% e-learning, including some ILT vendors offering some type of e-learning component. .
