They involved talent management, “hello and goodbye” with vendors, social learning, upswing in mobile learning, new feature sets in the authoring tool space, flat lining in web conferencing and standalone platforms. LMSs/LCMS/CMS/learning platforms in commercial and open space continued their presence. I know its in the buzz phase, but every day new apps are being developed and launched in the commercial space. E-Learning Screen recording and video solutions – Should b simple, so why isn’t it?

There are more vendors who do not offer the ability to post – i.e. add audio afterwards it is quite amazing. Again, simple and yet again arguably with many vendors difficult to do. There are dozens of free audio plugins available on the net, so why aren’t screen capturing/recording vendors offering the ability for the end user to add them? Another issue I have with many vendors who offer effects – again, I like that – is that they fail to mention.

I’ve really been watching this space for the past two years, and while there continue to be enough products that fit within this category, I’m on the belief that this space is on the downside. I love Questionmark, its a wonderful product and it can use a “connector” to integrate into your learning platform or system.
