Less vendors are offering the HTML5 output, which seems to be strange, especially as more e-learning vendors as a whole are jumping right in. Support (as in output) to AICC/SCORM – a major win! Hopefully e-learning vendors will re-examine what they are doing and either create a new product or tweak their own.

What about AICC? Unless you purchased a tool that is only AICC compliant, which in that case, time to ditch it and get another one. If you purchased an AICC only, then you have to find a system that is AICC compliant. It can be SCORM too, but the AICC is the key. . SCORM is backward compatible, not forward. .

Also SCORM 1.2 & AICC. Offer an option for people who do not want to be contacted by your company/sales person, trust me, people like this, and if they like your product they still will buy it. LMS, web, CD, etc., ADL SCORM 2004 CERTIFIED. Offers optional screen recording program ($99). Spell checker, multi-lingual capability.

My personal view is the brick and mortar philosophy still exists with many vendors. Even if you do not have a sales office in a specific country, don’t worry – you will still attract customers. Expect a large swath of vendors to move into a SaaS only product. A huge key is digital marketing. Peer review.

Is e-commerce included at no charge – You would be surprised how many will say no. This typically occurs at the beginning of the conversation with the sales person. SCORM/AICC/PENS/IMS. Those that don’t are due to: Your tool works only with SCORM 2004 3rd edition, and your LMS only accepts AICC. A: Nearly all.

Vendors who require you to “register&# first before dl the trial. Should be banned, because you can expect two things – a phone call by a sales rep (and addl calls to follow) or e-mails or both. PENS was created in 2005 by AICC as a new interoperability standard. E-Learning 24/7. But today?
