Fun fact – the two earliest entries and biggest players in the LXP space, no longer refer nor market themselves as it. Did I actually view it, or was I surfing the internet at the same time (there are some clients who have required time periods for each page, which is worthless – see above as reason). Can I upload AICC?

At one time, you could be “certified” with AICC and yes certified with SCORM, but why would you want to be? I’ve never heard someone say, “Sheesh, I need an LMS that is SCORM certified, or what your authoring tool is not AICC certified? I still see course libraries that are only AICC. Here is my take.

In recent years, with the inclusion of various features in Flash and the vast installation base of Flash Player amongst internet users, Flash has become be first choice for eLearning development and delivery over web. Creating such a content player may be tough job using Silverlight (relative to Flash).

In 2002, a company created video courses that were AICC compliant and could be bookmarked. Take a look at the tabletop boxes that exist today in the space of streaming from the net to your television, and you shouldn’t be surprised on the players (no pun attended) that see this as the next big thing. It is understandable.sort of.
