JeL SIM- simulations requires experience of the Java programming language to create a numerical model of the system/concept being simulated. SCORM compliance and/or AICC – there are tools out there who support neither – but that is not the norm and there are a few tools out there who also support PENS.

SCORM 2004 3rd edition, SCORM 2004 4th edition (rarely used), AICC, PENS – all of which are compliance standards, each with strengths and minuses. . As you are aware I am not a fan of AICC – useful in early 2000’s, but IMO not that useful today. There you have it, some of the most common jargon out there.

Also SCORM 1.2 & AICC. Offers optional screen recording program ($99). Same thing with PENS i.e. a SCORM LMS that does not support PENS will not work with a PENS content authoring tool. LMS, web, CD, etc., ADL SCORM 2004 CERTIFIED. Innovators of the Year. If you are using SCORM 1.2 it will not work.

At least SCORM support – Plenty still support AICC. Only a few support PENS, which is a shame, because it really does some very cool things. No programming skills needed. Where can you find this without having to have the programming skill sets needed to do so? Output to HTML5. 2004 (3rd edition) included.

WYSIWYG/HTML/Javascript/maybe CSS options as well, perhaps even additional programming languages you can incorporate, a full package of capabilities inc. PENS was created in 2005 by AICC as a new interoperability standard. programming languages like CSS and can create and manipulate in that language. Again, why?
