Find the Right E-Learning Vendor with an Awesome RFP. If so, you might think about developing an eLearning RFP (Request for Proposal). It will be much easier to make sure that e-learning suppliers bidding to work on the project give you the information you need to make the best choice if your RFP is clear and comprehensive.

Without it and other similar products, authors, writers, and publishers would struggle to produce high-grade content. Most mainstream authoring tool providers today offer cloud-based versions of their products. Alternatively, choose a version of an open-source product that is adapted and supported by a third-party vendor.

Percipio though can accept AICC, SCORM, xAPI and CMI-5 (win!). You can also schedule a demo with them in FindAnLMS and send them an RFP. Same issue with 3rd party content – right now if you have 3rd party content yourself and want to take it in Percipio, you must connect via a link. E-Learning 24/7.

Plus, if they system accepts other SCORM types or AICC or xAPI, you will never see those mentioned or listed. And it should be part of the internal process of checks and balances, before that RFP goes out. This goes into the back-end too. I see way too many SCORM package- meaning to upload a course. The last part is huge.

If I offer to assist with analysis, and the prospect has not already chosen a solution, they may suspect bias—and I risk disqualifying my product from the RFP.

It’s a product whose core focus is an authoring tool (proprietary based), but offers the ability to add users, provides a few analytics and a few reports. The downside to training management products is the inability to upload any other 3rd party authoring tool or courses from an off the shelf vendor.
