Plus, duration is highly misleading – so much so, that it ignores the basic tenant of Web Based Training (WBT) the precursor to the word e-learning, which initially was used as an umbrella term, for all types of e-learning solutions. I never understood why a vendor does this. Why can’t a vendor simply say video?

What is this training management thing I’ve heard about? For whatever reason- okay to try to set themselves apart – some vendors have created the term “training management” Honestly, they could call it “online authoring system with a few reports and no frills” and it would be the same thing.

Certifications are doable from big name vendors such as Amazon, Google, Cisco, Microsoft and more. Share Link – I debated about listing this in poor, because I still see zero value in this – other vendors do it too, and I see zero value in that as well. Percipio though can accept AICC, SCORM, xAPI and CMI-5 (win!).

The problem though is that there is a crisis going on in the K-12 sector and it is tied in part to e-learning (with wins and losses) and LMS vendors who serve that sector. and K-12 LMS vendors (a chunk of them). Possibly three parties in the rest of the world – Schools, some Governments, and a nice slice of K-12 LMS vendors.
