It puts forward lots of suggestions for how knowledge workers can leverage technology to make themselves more effective. Yet, there will be lots of eLearning solutions aiming at these alternative platforms. She learned how to be an effective participant and this helped propel her to become a designer. It was terrible!

The next generation of authoring tools included a handful of really serious players, notably Authorware (now with Adobe) and Toolbook (now with SumTotal), both still going although not so strongly. When confronted by too much choice, consumers choose familiar options.

We’ve also acknowledged that the endless slide shows of the past three decades are painfully ineffective, so alternative techniques from gaming to adaptive learning have become more fundamental.

Over the last ten years or so, major elearning developers have preferred to use tools like Flash, Authorware and Director from Adobe (earlier Macromedia). Is there an alternative to Flash? Creating animation is also quite complicated as one has to code time slots and animation effects parameters manually into the XAML file.
