As you know, Captivate has two different video features : Slide Video and FLV Object (details here ). For FLV Object , this is available in the property inspector, once you select the object. Alternate Web server for Video : Sometimes you need to host video on an alternate web server (other than the one which is hosting your SWF).

ALT tags provide alternative text for assistive technology, like a screen reader, in order to interpret and announce visual content. Alternatively, an object at the bottom of the list of objects in the Title Explorer would be identified last. This style of windows is not recognized by a screen reader.

Locate and drag the desired audio or video file into your title, or alternatively, from the Insert ribbon, select Insert Audio or Video File. Lectora and Lectora Online allow you to synchronize event actions to MP3 audio, MP4 video and FLV file formats. Open your title in Lectora/Lectora Online. Browse for and select the desired file.

It’s the free alternative to the Microsoft Office Suite. FLV Player. If your a multimedia maven, then you need to play FLV files. You can download the free FLV player at CNET. The publisher provides a list of sites where you can download the application. They’d like a donation, so oblige if you can.

After a while I stumbled upon another tiny sign promising that the fairy trail continued this way, but after a short distance the path split out into multiple alternatives, none of which were sign posted. My understanding is that MP4 format does not support transparency, and while FLV does, it won’t run on the iPad. So I moved on.
