Yet for the SaaS tools, analytics, and offering folks a way to bypass a learning system, as though these tools will more than suffice, shouldn’t be their top, let alone top three objectives. Social Learning is not that great. Social continued to be stagnant. I know it seems odd. I wish everyone would do that.

Learning analytics: how would that evolve in the next year? My professional practice doesn’t tend to delve too deeply into learning analytics, especially the sort that involves retrospective “big data” type drills-down into what has happened. What platforms will help us with that?

As Wikipedia explains, automation can support curation with collaborative filtering, semantic analysis and social ratings. Many organizations continue to use standalone content authoring tools like Articulate , GomoLearning , iSpring and Lectora. And not a moment too soon, given the massive amount of content available these days!

Social – Snooze. Some new vendors, who I wonder, whether they really know what is WBT and the nomenclature associated with it. Some analytics and some reports – The analytics are really very basic here, usually in the form of a histogram or graph/pie charts. Includes responsive capability. Bottom Line.
