SuccessFactors – Just for those folks to remember, SF is owned by SAP and had acquired Plateau. They haven’t been Plateau for a few years, so stop calling them Plateau – a pet peeve of mine. Analytics and Reporting (new category) – Big Data is coming, these are the top three that can make it happen.

You will always find products that are not well known yet receive rave reviews or “best buy” How many times do you go into your local supermarket and compare the generic version X to the brand name? Plateau is long gone and buried and people should realize that.

They offer a SaaS version, but that is fee based. They have a freebie version which has an appropriate number of feature sets, then they have paid versions for individual and organization. Plateau is now called SuccessFactors. They are in no particular order. Instructure – Canvas CV – Wow. Blackboard.

At one time a true freebie – they still offer a stripped down version, their new fee based system provides enough oomph to make anyone go “Wow” Features include: The standards – i.e. my 90/10, whereas 90% of the features are the same in the majority of systems in the space. Pricing wise – extremely affordable.
