One minus I’ve always found with Cornerstone CSX is their analytics UI/UX. And if you are someone who still wants Saba, it is available – you just can’t find or see it on their web site – so you have to ask for it. I met one attendee who has Saba Cloud and EdCast, so its doable. Did I let them know that?

I wouldn’t touch the Saba solution, which has another alphabetical salad of letters, because CBX is significantly better. The analytics on CBX, while solid, needs a major UI/UX revamp, and more metrics that align for today’s workforce. The metrics/analytics totally rock – I mean ROCKS. The admin side, ditto.

Saba Cloud (Legacy is finished – at least in my opinion – and the cloud is the way to go, but is it for Saba customers?). Vendors who offer a simpler system – meaning basic analytics often with a pie chart or some graphs and some reports – should be seen as a breath of fresh air that everyone wants. .

Can view VR content and play, albeit no analytics here (again, no one is doing it yet). Chrome extension called Saba Discovery is quite nice, a perfect compliment to content curation. Analytical design needs a revamp, but in the grand scheme of functionality, they are fire breathing dragons. NexGen galore.

Two minuses for me though is lack of mobile apps (everyone does mobile responsive) and is miss on stronger analytical data and data visualization, which while the system does provide solid reporting and analytics, the way the world is heading in the corporate space, a system needs more to match it. I identify the Big Dogs as SumTotal by Skillsoft (yes, that is the actual name), Cornerstone OnDemand, Saba, SucessFactors and Oracle Taleo (although, I ask myself who is using this and if you still are why?). However, I will say this: I like what Saba is doing. The system still – equally as Saba – needs some work.

I found that in LMSs (on avg), there were more analytics, more ways to break it down, slice and dice, than there were in the learning platform space (on avg.).
