Tell people at your company, business, firm, association that you can make money with e-learning and make training a profit center, many times, you will get a “sure, sounds great”, with snickers behind the go for it. . There are learning system vendors who use Blue Ocean to get, wait for it, you as the customer. .

In some cases it will be noted if it is based on a higher set of users, since there are platforms that prefer a minimum or focus on larger size businesses including associations, etc. B2B – Business to Business. B2C – Business to Customer. SB – Small business. MB – Mid size business.

But, the reason I constantly bash this into e-learning vendors heads is this just DON’T GET IT. Offers 3G and the data access is free – no additional charge, unlike a smartphone; plus many offer full Flash capabilities, color screens and the e-ink too – the mainstay. E-Learning 24/7.

Especially when people are in the field whether it is with consumers, at a job location, meeting with business clients, whatever. . In the past year: Apple has filed a patent for 3D Kinect experience using touch free gesturing. Expect a few commercial vendors to jump into the augmented reality space for e-learning.

A calling to a large number of vendors (small, medium and big), are all reporting strong numbers in January, with many saying that January 2011, was their best month – numbers and business wise, in the last few years. Greater number of vendors switching to only SAAS or “in the cloud&# rather than self-hosted.

Im still working on that but maybe next week while I am at I/ITSEC, Ill wander the expo floor and ask some of the e-learning vendors what their plans are to help their clients move toward an Enterprise 2.0 Apple/iPhone/iPod Application Becomes the Platform Arrghh!!! So what right? Ill let you know what they say.
