John Hagel on how essential learning is in our rapidly changing world. This isn’t about learning in the form of sharing existing knowledge which is the focus of most learning today. Existing knowledge is becoming obsolete at an accelerating rate. The learning we all need to pursue is learning in the form of creating new knowledge and that is best pursued by coming together with others and learning through action, not just conversation. Decentralization will create enormous opportunities for value creation and will disrupt many of our large, centralized institutions around the world.
