I’ve been using Articulate Presenter 09 for a couple of months now and have come up with the five things I like best about the new version. Articulate has released two updates to Presenter 09 and most of the problems I had have been cleared up, or I’ve found workarounds. I use this feature a lot.

I am using them in both Articulate Presenter and Rapid Intake FlashForm training classes. You have to have Flash to make your customizations but there are tutorials on the site that show you how to do it. You get both the FLA and the SWF files so you can brand the games for your clients.

If you use Articulate Presenter, hide slides 2-4 and set the branching on the player controls to go back to slide 1 and forward to slide 5 (if you had one). I used transparent PowerPoint hyperlinks and added some rollover Flash files that gave the appearance of having a rollover effect on the link. Create a Slide Rewind Button.

The pre-built templates provide a way to quickly assemble an interaction or presentation segment and publish it to a Flash (.swf) swf) format. You can use Raptivity to create a stand-alone course or you can import the published file into another tool, like Articulate Presenter or Captivate.

The challenge in all of this is that rapid elearning has to bring real value and isn’t just a bunch of PowerPoint files converted to Flash and then put online. The worst of elearning is paying a Flash programmer to produce something like this for a lot more money. Then I pulled the slide’s flash file (.swf)
