DevLearn 2022 – Rewind

To say nothing exciting happened at DevLearn is to say, that the Mirage hotel, is still a great hotel, and the idea that some company plans to refurb it or rebuild it into something else is unheard of. On the plus side, or I hope not, DevLearn won’t be there in 2023 because a gutted hotel is not a place to have a show.

For those of you unaware of DevLearn, the show has been around for years and is one of e-learning guild’s premier shows in my opinion. While there were LMS vendors present, this is a show more suited for authoring tool vendors, e-learning tool vendors and vendors who enhance or increase engagement in courses or content.

Cross Conference Cogitations

In the course of the past month, I’ve attended (and spoken at) 4 conferences: DevLearn, WCET, VSS, and Online Educa. Each was from a different area: DevLearn is mostly corporate, WCET is largely higher ed, VSS is mostly K12, and Online Educa is more academic (and European). This was across all of the exhibitions.
