This year, I looked at more products then before, and listened to more sales pitches then before – which is always a mixed bag. Here is my conversation with their sales person. Assessment tool vendors – Questionmark was there, can’t recall anyone else. Lots of traffic, little sales. Last week, I attended TK 2012 in Las Vegas.

Then there were vendors who expected a bad year sales wise, but instead found themselves doing far more than they expected – which was due in no small part – because companies now found themselves with remote workforces, and thus needed a learning system NOW.

I must have missed the learning tech beyond a smartwatch whose sales are not great. Blackboard generates the highest amount of revenue/sales in the entire LMS space, yet they are in the last tier of top tools, along with Axonify and D2L, both of which combined do not even get close to the total sales ($$$) of Blackboard.
