I identify the Big Dogs as SumTotal by Skillsoft (yes, that is the actual name), Cornerstone OnDemand, Saba, SucessFactors and Oracle Taleo (although, I ask myself who is using this and if you still are why?). However, I will say this: I like what Saba is doing. The system still – equally as Saba – needs some work.

If a vendor tells you they are not in the content business, I can only assume they must be in the web server business, because without content, that is all you have – a web server.

Personally, I think that is a mistake, but hey it’s their business model – uh, good luck with that. On the other side, I see way too many LMS vendors targeting mid size who do not have the ability (although they will say otherwise) to handle repeated business of 10,000 or more, especially when it hits the 50,000 or more users.
