They have more than 1,100 associates spread out across Florida, Georgia and Alabama. One person had become the “defacto associate help desk”. The same associate who received and handled the questions before now gets the question as a discussion item and responds in the forum. They are a solid, conservative bank.

Social Learning Objects - Flash Cards

It also does some interesting things: Allows users to categorize flash cards, mark them as being associated with particular text books, and then helps with the sharing of content. I think that composition will look and act much more like Wiki Course Authoring. It's well designed and very easy to use.

Of course, the terms "email" and "ecommerce" seem to be fine. Donald also discusses that eLearning is associated with cost cutting measures. Especially with the potential value offered with the network effects in eLearning 2.0. Just as email and ecommerce open new possibilities, so does eLearning.

Peer Review vs. Search Engine Places - Quality of Information in a Web 2.0 Sources

I often argued with (older) colleagues at the university that it would be better to have open, fast publishing sources than the very slow, peer review process associated with most publications. The effect may not be rational but it is increasingly true, regardless of whether the work is otherwise associated with any peer-reviewed process.
