A friend of mine, got a RFP template from a LMS vendor’s web site. I am not a fan of grabbing RFP templates off of vendor’s web sites, only because if you read them in detail you will start to realize that for some of the questions, it is really geared toward that vendor’s product. Always after.

Business cases come in handy when you are selling your own content/courses or training to B2B or B2C, customer education, customer learning, partner training, and so forth. Associations that sell training, a business case is essential too. Your RFP/RFI. With an RFP, always allow at least three weeks for a vendor to complete it.

In order to vendor to accept CEUs for specific accreditation they need to go through a rigorous series of steps, which often includes: Meeting specific state and agency requirements – no easy task. Training – common includes online webinars, walkthroughs and tutorials, sadly sometimes vendors charge for online support.

Continuing on from my earlier posts: LMS Selection Presentation Reformulated LMS Selection Team and Stakeholders LMS Selection Process From several comments and from looking at my list of issues, I realize that writing a good LMS RFP is challenging and it's easy to make lots of mistakes. The list in this LMS RFP went on and on at this level.

I’m not saying that e-learning vendors who follow the “trial” and give us your credit card mantra are following this approach nor are they doing so in a nefarious way, I’m just giving you some insight in how companies that use this approach, see value in it. No, just kidding. Just a guess here!
