Harold Jarche in Skills 2.0 : Today, active involvement in informal learning, particularly through web-based communities, is key to remaining professional and creative in a field. They have their head in the sand.

Social Learning Communities It was interesting that ASTD DC / Todd Slater has created a Ning community. My belief is that we are going to see lots of virtual communities created as it makes sense to aggregate outside of a local geography for common interests. People end up staying home to be able to attend virtual events.
