Karl Kapp and I had a fantastic workshop last week at ASTD ICE. The use of Facebook posts to offer scathing commentary from Professor Snerpus’s students is humorous. The post ASTD ICE learning game design workshop resources appeared first on.

Tuesday, June 19, 2007 Using FaceBook Im trying to expand my horizons a bit these days and have been taking a closer look at a whole bunch of tools out there, including SecondLife and FaceBook. eLearning 24-7

On the expo side, and I know ASTD Events are going to disagree with me (err, they already have via Linkedin), I wasn’t overly impressed on the number of vendors’ booths. We don’t go around and say, “Hey Linkedin is using the Twitter API or the Facebook API in my system is the best” No, we say Twitter is in Linkedin OR Facebook in my LMS is the best” However, that understanding seems to be missing in this whole nightmare.

Answering the Question: How Do We Keep Up

Kapp Notes

This Month's ASTD Big Question is simple and comple x--"How do we keep up?" No matter if you send a Tweet, post a course nugget on Facebook or enter into a 3D role-play, none if it works if the underlying instructional strategies are not there. Tags: ASTD Big Question Being in the field of instructional technology and teaching it to others--my students, consulting clients and others--it can be a real struggle to make sure I am on the cutting edge of what is happening.
