Where are open source learning applications?

Fun Interactions - Hot Potato * Audio Editing - Audacity and I know there's some that do essentially PPT + audio, lots of ways to create podcasts, video, and the list goes on. Finally, I'm not really sure that asking about open source right now is as relevant as asking about free software as a service (SaaS) models.

Articulate, Captivate and Lectora – Do they deserve your praise?

Their video encode program is lackluster, you are better off using Audacity – which is free. The two biggest negatives IMO, is that it just isn’t robust enough for e-learning developers and its whole focus on PPT into converting to a course doesn’t help. The rest you can’t. . Yeah, people love it.
