If you know what you’re doing, you can fine-tune audio quality using an audio editing program like Audacity or WavePad before importing it into your transcription software. Audacity is a free, handy open source audio editing tool. Then, I export it and do some pre-editing in Audacity , which is free. Kip and I have a shared folder in Dropbox and I export with two tracks out of Audacity into Dropbox. All of the prerolls and post-rolls I record into Audacity and export. Tagging and uploading.
