Doceo – They are the only other vendor besides Camtasia (no less) that offers a product for capturing video, then video/audio editing and next pushing it as a course. For some reason they seem to think that the authoring tool for LCMS wouldn’t be used by the LMS (you have to see their product line). Whether it is a mobile learning platform, authoring tool or a LMS/LCMS – TinCan will be huge. Video editing – Upload video clips, edit, add some transitions, add audio, etc.

The next generation of authoring tools included a handful of really serious players, notably Authorware (now with Adobe) and Toolbook (now with SumTotal), both still going although not so strongly. Tools that generate content that can be viewed on multiple platforms as opposed to tools which are built-in to an LMS/LCMS ( Moodle , Blackboard , Saba ) and depend on those platforms for delivery of the content.
