I believe that you can expect some type of voice capability with the actors/avatars as in the ability to either lip synch with the characters via audio tool/recording tool in the product will show up more in 2013. One vendor already offers it in 2012, and knowing this industry – if something takes off and works, others will follow.

But, the reason I constantly bash this into e-learning vendors heads is this just DON’T GET IT. HTML5 will be available on every one of those tablets, plus they will offer Flash (notable exception the iPad). Oh, yeah, social learning. LMS vendors who are moving into the Talent Management Space.

Vendors who do not have anyone in their booth, during expo times – I see this at all shows, regardless of the product or market; but at e-learning/training shows you see it a lot OR you see them eating in their booth. It is a serious problem in our space, and goes across all products and business size. Questionmark.

Some vendors push heavily on PPT, implying that a great WBT is really a PPT converted to Flash. Flash output – still red hot. One vendor focuses only on Blackberry (not just Playbook but their smartphone like product). Flash isn’t going anywhere, except maybe the route of leaded gasoline. Again, why?
