Adobe Captivate - Fantastic for creating simulations (software sims and branching sims), plus it does a good job recording audio for your sims. Adobe Dreamweaver - Still the best tool for creating web pages (I occasionally have to do that) and jerry-rigging the HTML in courses. old habits are hard to break.

Actually it was more of Dreamweaver that came with templates (at least IMO). I’d rather have outstanding assets numbering in 200 range, than 10,000 assets, of which 9,995 represent either clip art of old days, lame templates even as HTML5, audio clips that sound like they were recorded in a garage and so on.

At times you'll want to take video from another shot and mix it in with another audio track. If you can barely hear the narrator, you can use audio editing software like Adobe Audition or Soundbooth to fix it. Ok, so now you realize the sound is awful. There are apps for that! 264 encoding.

Eventually, Macromedia Dreamweaver came into the picture. Screen recorder or desktop recorder converted into Flash or.AVI or.WMV or MP4 format or other formats, with audio/video editing and recording (not all mind you offer audio/video editing). Once you did though, you could do quite a lot with the tool. That has changed.
