The fastest growing segment on Facebook is 55 to 65 year old women. The age range of people using social media is 35 to 54, with a college or post graduate degree. They do not want to jump into the water, for fear of the social learning shark. They offer the repetitive features of what they deem to be social learning.

Majority of employees access social media sites out of the workplace. Majority of employees access a LMS or Learning Portal out of the workplace. Now, why doesn’t a vendor mention this information to a potential client, at least the first point – I can understand holding off on the second point, for selling purposes.

Despite overall consumer demand (not just within e-learning) for tablets, and numbers showing that tablets are outselling notebooks, e-learning vendors as whole are sitting back and waiting. CertPoint VLS Portals – but only to a laptop or CD Rom – so not a mobile device. eLogic Learning.

Student, Teacher and Parent portals – It goes without saying on the student and teacher portals. As such, do folks really want parents to have their own portal? My personal favorite is the ability for the teacher to leave audio and video feedback to the students. Facebook and Twitter integration.
