Evernote's tag line of "Remember Everything" may be a tad agressive but the iPhone app lets me save audio notes, picture notes, and text notes. The absolute coolest feature of Evernote though is its ability to read the text within an image and search on that text. Of course there is a bookmarklet for your browser bar.

So for content developments sake, looking down the numbers, Id say there is an argument here for focusing on audio as a main component of phone-based content (Im going to quit saying mobile as a general term because who knows what that means anymore - PSP, iPod, cell phone, smartphone, iPhone, UMPC, or whatever). BigBlueButton is a free web-conferencing tool with text chat, audio and video capabilites, a virtual whiteboard and many more presentation and conferencing features. Trying again to respond via firefox browser - seem to have difficulties with internet explorer. Big Blue Button is my favorite at the moment! not sure why.

Now I cant gripe about the audio recordings because usually there is some value-add in that chain - some company has recorded the sessions and made them available, maybe cleaned them up a bit even but selling the papers? But thats OK because Im sure you all (all conferences that do this) share some of these revenues with the authors right?
