Use scenarios – apply what you know to make a decision.Ask the learner to take info that’s not clearcut and apply it using a question (in PPT – picture of a farmer and 3 images of “experts&# to ask for advice.

Add with note, generate Text to Speech audio. Capture and Edit Audio. Add audio to Captivate file. Generate 4 th draft with Recorded Audio. It may not get reviewed until edits to the PPT slides.). I’ll post it, or email to SMEs, and request edits to the PPT slides. I print out in Notes view for a storyboard, or 1st draft. Capture and Edit Audio. . Some audio can be recorded direct to Captivate for editing.

Depending on the nature of the source files, PPT,STORY,CPTX etc, you may be able to convert these to HTML5 if the latest versions of the same software offer backward compatibility and upgrade your source files. PPT/PPTX/PPTA files if you converted a PowerPoint presentation to elearning. Media Assets: Custom media assets created softwares such as Illustrator, Photoshop, Corel Draw; Audio file recording in.wav or mp3 format.

This tool has the feature of a library that can store the audio and video files of a project in its library. PowerPoint still reigns – If you are a course purist, the idea that PPT should be seen as an authoring tool should make you grumble with disgust. . Yes, you can use it for many different things, and yes, Microsoft has an add-on that turns PPT into something similar to Adobe Presenter. Adding video/audio/documents – Video can be a video file, link from YouTube, Vimeo and so forth. Do you know how many ATs today have a storyboard feature built-into their product?

It works within PowerPoint so that any one who knows PPT can quickly come up to speed to create a nice looking presentation.

I prep the script and send it off for audio production (weve been working with an excellent independent guy with his own studio who can churn this stuff out!) Sometimes have to record new audio. Oh, except Im the developer and audio engineer too. Just out of curiosity, what do you use to storyboard your stuff? Ive been storyboarding in Word for years and it continues to work for me. My "storyboard" is just the words and the descriptions of the graphics.

Doceo – They are the only other vendor besides Camtasia (no less) that offers a product for capturing video, then video/audio editing and next pushing it as a course. Recently added the ability to publish a storyboard in Microsoft Word. I’ll just say it right now, the industry as a whole isn’t doing much. There I said it and honestly I can’t believe I said it.

I have worked with both corporate training department and elearning development houses, where I just had to do Analysis, Design and Storyboard. After storyboarding I had to work closely with the graphic designers to make sure that the course is implemented as planned. No needs assessment, no functional spec, no design -- just get that ppt deck going and slap some e-learning together. Much of the work I have done over the years has required me to copy text and images from a storyboard document or a folder into the lesson file. This project template feature excites me because I can eliminate the storyboard stage from the project workflow and have SMEs and Designers build their lesson right into my template files. This uses a special engine that converts text inputted as closed captions into audio that is saved into the published file.
