I’ll probably make it my default microphone because it’s much smaller, sounds great, and it gives me three audio recording modes. Some people run their audio through a mixer. If you’re a Google Chrome 89+ user you now have access to Live Caption which is an accessibility feature that provides real-time captions for audio that plays through the browser. I tested the Live Captions on a few different e-learning products that had audio including courses in Storyline 360, Rise 360, and Review 360.

You only get visual and no audio, though. You load a web page and it will play it, audio and all. It’s great for quick hit, just-in-time learning. We use it for our product tutorials and PowerPoint tips. What I like about Screenr for mobile learning is that it’s easy to use. Then record my audio.

You don’t need to be a professional audio engineer to record narration. Last week, we looked at some basic tips to record high-quality audio. If you place the microphone too close, you get that distorted clipping sound; and if you have it too far from the narrator, you pick up more ambient noise with the audio being less discernible.
