Phil and his colleagues investigated the use of the audio commenting tool in Adobe Acrobat Pro to provide audio feedback on student assignments in an online course. 26 students preferred audio to text, 4 students indicated no preference and one answer N/A (due to a defective sound card). Content retention (44% of students).

All of the above tools support live audio (you should use a headset to maintain quality) and video communication (a webcam or internal camera on a laptop is needed for this), slideshow presentation tools and text communication. Problems with recording audio. Video goes in and out with the audio – They explain it has to do with the latest version of Flash, but how about coming up with an alternative. Record Live Audio/Video. I found the record live audio and video (which is occurs when you select “video”) to be a disappointment.
