It's left to the reader to interpret where they fit into their day-to-day concept work. I understand why most authors start with the tool. 2008 in retrospect

Next year, I intend to start making the world a better place, and that’s going to take more oomph, focus, and work with others. Peter Drucker said the purpose of business is to create and maintain a customer. Authority is fluid and contingent on value-added. Knowledge workers have replaced factory workers. The biggest challenge businesses today face is unlearning what was successful in the industrial age and learning how to prosper in the network era.
