That is what one senior exec said to me, the other day when it came to social learning. I shot off the usual reasons, the benefits, the gains and then found myself expanding into the next possibilities of where a system and content authoring tool had to go. Incorporate Social Q/A. Not at all. What solution ?

An API (Application Program Interface) enables an interface from a piece of software to communicate with another piece of software (in its simplest form) or multiple pieces of software (called a mashup). However there are vendors who sell their API solution wrapped in a piece of software. Social Learning?

Social Q/A – question is posted by the end user, and then x number of people who are knowledgeable about that specific topic, respond; but after one responds, the other two cannot; a mentor option can be created. Mashups and APIs (again, some people in the social media space, see them as social media types). for example.

When a Course Authoring Tool Built-In is not a Free Built-In. I have seen this with a couple of vendors and thought to myself, are they kidding me? That said, I have to say I was in shock when I found out that Topyx LMS by Interactyx is offering their built in course authoring tool as a FEE based solution and not free.
