Send over a course that already has been created (whether it is from your previous/current LMS or something you just put together) and have the vendor load it into the system for the demo, verify that it works – make sure it is the same compliance standards as the system. RCAT tools are not as easy as pie. Act professional.

Analytics tied to video – they want to know what learner accessed the video course or video, how many times, how often, where did the go – From a video course standpoint – analytics is not really in play right now with LMS vendors (VLP a tad different, but not that robust). Can add your own audio or use one of their audio tracks – which surprisingly were not bad, actually quite a few were good. Learn a foreign language software. Pricing is low.

Classroom management – attendance tracking is a plus. Most systems in the education space are still strongly focused on synchronous based learning. Built in authoring tool – never hurts. Because if you are using a content authoring tool that is SCORM 2004, then you must find a system that is at least 2004. Your tool will not work with a 1.2. Unless you purchased a tool that is only AICC compliant, which in that case, time to ditch it and get another one. Can you track the end users in it?
