Adobe’s CS4 suite is the second major release since Adobe acquired Macromedia. Deco and Spray Tools - The Deco tool could be used to quickly create kaleidoscope-like effects and to apply fills. The Spray Brush tool can be used to spray symbols across any user-defined areas.

Jane Hart is gathering top ten lists for e-learning tools. I have posted my e-learning toolkit in the past, but not what I necessarily consider my "top e-learning tools." So, here are my top 10 e-learning tools. They are not stand alone e-learning tools, but together allow me the ability to create effective e-learning courses.

Back when I first started developing e-learning courses, I used Macromedia's Authorware. It has gotten to a point where some of my courses are all developed in Flash and the e-learning authoring tools (DHTML) have been used more as a "shell" that decompiles it as a SCORM package.

The idea of rapid content authoring, was non-existent. The dominating authoring tool by far, was Authorware. The idea of a rapid content authoring tool, whereas anyone could build a course quickly was appalling to everyone who built courses. Other course authoring tools started to appear right after Authorware.

He is the author of seven book including a best-seller on creating effective e-learning and in has received ASTD’s Distinguished Contribution to Workplace Learning and Performance Award in 2011. If ADDIE produces the products you want, does so comfortably, and works effectively with the constraints you work with, I’d stick with ADDIE.

Since the advent of e-learning, Macromedia products were popular, and enormous quantities of content were generated using platforms like Director and Flash. Over the last five years, we’ve seen that change because of efficient and effective rapid authoring tools. legacy tools/platforms (Authorware, Director, etc.)
