Boutique shops for custom course development were springing up faster than you could say Sock Puppet (Pets.com). The dominating authoring tool by far, was Authorware. Authorware usage and fan base made Storyline supporters and usage look like a rock stage at a state fair. E-Learning developers – again, common term.

Anyway, to stop that “traditional” spin, they need a re-brand, something fresh, modern, new attitude approach – I just mean related to the learning system and so forth, not their name for example, rather the product/LOB. The Pathgather acquisition, was a total customer buy, despite what they may say.

He founded the computer-based course authoring tool Authorware in 1984 and later formed Macromedia through a merger which was then bought by Adobe Systems. A process is appraised by the quality of its output and efficiency in producing a quality product. I used to teach ADDIE to both my graduate students and corporate teams.

In just the past month, I have seen quite a few vendors add this capability in their product – and for the most part they are all RCAT products. How hard is it to offer such a capability within your product? Pan, Zoom and Pan again.

Dave and the rest of our Champs respond to customer questions, requests, feedback and more on a daily basis. He was an avid Authorware (Macromedia) developer and has continued on over the years to create many different sources of educational materials including Interactive PDF’s, iBooks, and eBooks.
