In response to the demand for more accessible authoring tools, Authorware was born. Using Authorware , learning professionals could create learning programs with hyper-simplistic designs, primarily through dragging and dropping icons. So, simplicity was there for the author, but at the cost of effective learner engagement.

He is the author of seven book including a best-seller on creating effective e-learning and in has received ASTD’s Distinguished Contribution to Workplace Learning and Performance Award in 2011. If ADDIE produces the products you want, does so comfortably, and works effectively with the constraints you work with, I’d stick with ADDIE.

Sure, you can use the extensive list of tools on the market, but for those who want real power and complexity ala from the days of Authorware, pickings are slim. Professional Presenter X – comes with sim tool, assessment, capture tool, documents to flash tool, etc. Add documents, materials including ability to attach to courses.

On the other hand if the developer does not agree that a change is required, or if he has a question about the feedback, he can type a note to that effect and send that information back to the tester. Second, Adobe has introduced Widgets to Captivate 4. Or do you often have a suite of, say, 5 or 10 lessons that have a largely similar format?
