So someone tell me if Im wrong but here is how I am seeing this.the way IT departments are currently incentivized - their ideal situation would be zero users and no connection to the Internet. Im not casting stones here, in fact in a way Im apologizing to all the IT departments for whom Ive caused trouble by demanding applications and access that did nothing to honor the way the were rated on the job performance - essentially I just kept asking them to do me favors.

Those are big jumps over smartphones and quantum jumps over the general market. So for content developments sake, looking down the numbers, Id say there is an argument here for focusing on audio as a main component of phone-based content (Im going to quit saying mobile as a general term because who knows what that means anymore - PSP, iPod, cell phone, smartphone, iPhone, UMPC, or whatever).

So I am culling back through my open tabs and I am hitting the ones that talk about Google releasing its OpenSocial APIs , and then I hit the Facebook Platform tab I had open, and then I am reading netvibes news about how it will be linking all existing social APIs as plugins for its Universal Widget API. My tea leaves seem to be saying that netvibes is looking like the big winner here.

Right now Im sitting in the audience listening Deborah Adler, the designer whos Masters Thesis became the redesigned Target pharmacy bottles - Clear RX. I think the big take-away from this session is that she began with a problem, people taking the wrong medicine, and then selected as her starting point - the user - not the system. MASIE Center.
