Recently, Lectora launched a new tool that integrates PowerPoint slides directly into a Lectora project. The layout of my test took about half an hour setting up the Master slide and linking the subsequent slides (pages; screens). Also, Lectora publishes the slide position at x=0 and y=0.

May's Big Question in the Learning Curcuits Blog is PowerPoint: what is appropriate, when and why? Voice + slides that are genuine visual aids = the right sensory balance (compatible use of both auditory and visual channels) but still some risk that the message won't stick (you need to work with the ideas to make them your own).

The biggest thing I would like to see is that we add some voiceover on just about all of the slides. on just about all slides. They think the program isnt working when they come across a slide that doesnt have v.o. The slide/screen itself can focus on key points and or use diagrams. I can sure relate to this!

The big question to ask is whether you need the learner to see step-by-step slides or whether a simple video walk-through will work. If the answer is the latter, you can create a video project in Replay and then insert that as a video on a slide in your course. Now, adjust your individual slides as needed.
