Wikis can promote collaborative learning, and serve as repositories for user generated content (Wheeler et al, 2008). tools are mashed up within the same space.

The essence of Atlantis is 'learn your own way' - and the University provides a flexible and blended (extended blended actually) approach which also incoporates collaborative project based learning.

For those going back to the 70s, 80’s, and partially ’90s, be aware that you will need to know how to type to blend in (using a gadget known as a typewriter), and smartphones are unavailable. I wouldn’t slide Training as part of this scene, although there may be companies where internally Training oversees performance.

Apparently it was blind reviewed by up to 5 reviewers, so it would seem that the review process is more rigorous than many other journals I have published with. Two case studies of recent initial teacher training programmes are reviewed where blogs and wikis were blended to create new virtual learning spaces. 1 (1), 3-13.
