You never forget your first time! That will certainly be true for me and my first demo-fest experience. It isn’t often you get to show off your work and have lots of conversations about it smart, interested learning pros. If you’ve ever thought about doing demo-fest and haven’t yet, I’d definitely recommend it. Two thumbs up!!!
We got a lot of great questions and I think it could be helpful to share the answers here. Our project was a blended solution that brought together a number of elements. The goal was elevating the social selling skills of a corporate sales team. Here’s an overview.
This was a blended project combining an opening face-to-face workshop with a series of mobile-first, micro-doing quests. The quests are small challenges that encourage participants to put their learning into action and form a new habit.
Everything is supported by a playbook aligned to the content and seen here below.
…and oh yeah. I built it in PowerPoint. Yes, that is NOT a typo. P-O-W-E-R-P-O-I-N-T
The general structure of each lesson/quest is:
- 2 minute-ish video
- Supporting interaction
- Quest activity (This is the doing part.)
Here’s a quick peek at what the mobile experience is like:
This is what the desktop version looks like if you’re curious. Nice, right?
I’d love to hear from you if you have any questions or comments. And if you ever get a chance to participate in DemoFest, do it! You’ll be glad you did.
Absolutely phenomenal! And all done on PowerPoint?!?!? Amazing!
